Five people have been summonsed to court in relation to the Avon Vale Hunt disorder in December.

A fight broke out between the hunt and protesters in Lacock during the morning of 27 December last year.

Following extensive enquiries, the following people have now been summonsed to court for Section 4 Public Order offences:

• Adrian Earl, 52, from Calne

• Callum Lewis, 26, from Westbury

• Evan Lorne, 18, from Melksham

• Andrew Purbrick, 59, from Westbury

• William Renny, 30 from Westbury

All five men are due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on April 6.

Wiltshire Police say it has undertaken a review of the policing approach regarding this incident and, upon the conclusion of these criminal proceedings, they will publish a summary of this review.
