Wiltshire Police officers executed a number of drugs warrants in Chippenham and Corsham on Friday and over the weekend, making four arrests.

Local neighbourhood policing teams, supported by armed response, search officers and dog units, carried out the raids on homes over the past three days.

On Friday evening, two consecutive drugs warrants were executed from around 5.30pm.

The first was in Orchard House in Orchard Road, Corsham where officers discovered a quantity of cocaine and cash – which were seized.

A 36-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of criminal property. He has since been released under investigation.

The second was in Royal Close, Chippenham, a short time later. Officers located and seized a quantity of cocaine and cannabis from the address.

A local male and female were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs, as well as possession of criminal property. Both have been released under investigation whilst the police investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday morning, at around 9am, police officers – including volunteers from the Special Constabulary – raided a house in Little Down, Chippenham.

A 30-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis. He has since been released under investigation.

Later on Saturday, the team carried out a second warrant on another flat in Royal Close, Chippenham.

A 33-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and abstraction of electricity. He has since been released under investigation.

Energy supplier SSE attended the scene, which was guarded by an officer, later in the afternoon to ensure the electricity supply was safe.
