Firefighters have tackled a major blaze on Fiveways Trading Estate overnight.
The emergency services attended Westwells Road in Corsham at around 10.30pm last night, 7 September, following reports of a serious fire.
Two appliances from Corsham and one from Chippenham were mobilised along with one appliance from Defence Fire Service.
On arrival crews found the building to be well alight and requested the attendance of a further two appliances from Chippenham and Bath. They were mobilised along with the Incident Command Unit from Devizes, supported by an appliance from Bradford on Avon.
During this time, the firefighters on scene got to work using four breathing apparatus, three main jets and one high pressure hose reel.
At 11:42pm an aerial ladder platform was requested and mobilised from Bath. When the aerial ladder platform arrived at scene, all breathing apparatus wearers were withdrawn and the aerial appliance was set to work with a water monitor.
The building was destroyed by fire and the adjoining premises was affected by heat and smoke damage. One private vehicle was also damaged by fire.
