Firefighters were called to a crash involving a military vehicle yesterday.

A fire crew from Amesbury were sent to the Salisbury Plain Training Area, in Bulford, following reports a tank had overturned and was leaking fuel.

On scene, it was established firefighters were not required to assist.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A crew from Amesbury was called to Bulford camp at 2.25pm yesterday to see whether we could assist with a fuel spillage from a military vehicle.

“Following inspection, no action was required by us and our stop came at 3.05pm.”
