An unconscious woman was rescued from a house fire in Warminster today.
Emergency services were called to the scene at a property in Victoria Road just before 5am this morning, Saturday 23 January.
On the arrival of the fire service – consisting of three crews from Warminster and Westbury stations – a woman was dragged from the building blaze.
Suffering the effects of smoke inhalation, she was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Wiltshire Police says the fire was “linked to a mental health episode”. The force confirmed the patient’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Firefighters tackled the house fire using two breathing apparatus wearers and two hose reel jets. The flames were extinguished by 5.27am.
Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) was used to clear the property of smoke.
