A casualty’s been rescued by firefighters following a crash on the M4 early this morning.
The westbound carriageway – between junction 16 and junction 17 – was closed for a number of hours while emergency services dealt with the two-vechile collision at around 1am.
One person was trapped in a car, and needed to be extricated by fire crews.
Firefighters from Swindon, Westlea and Royal Wootton Bassett attended the incident.
No one’s thought to have suffered any serious injuries; the road reopened at around 3am.
