Firefighters have extinguished a fire in a kitchen at a Swindon hotel earlier this morning.
Three fire crews and an aerial appliance attended The Great Western Hotel on Station Road at around 5.45am today following a phone call from staff who had attempted to put out a food fryer fire.
The ‘large fire’ was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a foam extinguisher. Air monitoring equipment and mechanical ventilation were also used.
