Firefighters have been tackling a barn blaze since the early hours of this morning (Monday).
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) sent numerous crews to the scene off Hawkstreet in Bromham, near Devizes, shortly after 3am.
Crews from Devizes, Calne and Royal Wootton Bassett were among those at the incident – which saw tonnes of hay or straw engulfed in flames.
Local residents are being told to keep their windows and doors closed as firefighters battle the fire.
A DWFRS spokesperson said: “There are currently a number of appliances in attendance dealing with a barn fire.
“Due to the smoke plume nearby residents are asked to keep doors and windows closed at this time.
“It is expected that crews will remain in attendance for some time yet.”
At 9am, the blaze continued to rage – with at least two fire crews on scene.
