Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service is warning people about the dangers of walking over the Christmas period following an incident in the county.
After a landslip in Bowood, near Calne, this morning, locals who choose to take a walk over the coming days are being advised to take extra care.
“Due to the recent rainfall, and more rain forecast, the ground in places has become flooded and unstable, especially near cliff edges and high banks”, a spokesperson for the service said.
Adding: “We are asking people to take extra care when out walking over the coming days.”
