A father has been knocked unconscious while at a children’s play area near Lainsmead Primary School in Swindon on Sunday afternoon.
The man, who was with his five-year-old daughter at the time, was involved in an altercation between him and a group of youths.
During the incident, on 27 August, he was knocked unconscious for a short time by an unknown male – who had his face covered with mask.
The victim’s injuries were, in his own words, ‘superficial’ but he went to hospital for a check-up as he had been initially knocked unconscious.
PC Ed Rogers said: “There were several members of public nearby who may have seen what happened and we would appreciate their help in investigating this particularly nasty incident. Also, if you heard or saw anything suspicious in this area, around this time, please contact me.”
