A family have paid tribute to a woman who died after being hit by a car in the Cotswolds.
Pedestrian Sylvia Ann King was involved in a serious crash on Wednesday (10 December).
It happened in Arlington Pike, Bibury, just before 12.10pm. The 81-year-old local resident died at the scene, with a collision investigation launched.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 80s, suffered minor injuries in the incident and was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
Sylvia’s family have now issued a tribute to her saying: “It is with great sadness that Roger and family announce the loss of our much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many in a tragic accident on 10 December 2025.
“We are truly devastated and request time to grieve in private at this awful time.”
Gloucestershire Constabulary wants to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
