An ex-Wiltshire Police officer has been charged with breaching a court order by alleged viewing his former partner’s Facebook story.
Andrew Edwards was previously sentenced for stalking and misconduct in public office at Bristol Crown Court on 12 September.
The 31-year-old, of Parkfields, Chippenham, was convicted after he was found to use police systems to track and research his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.
The stalker served as a response officer in Chippenham, and was suspended from his duties as soon as Wiltshire Police became aware of his actions.
In July, prior to the case coming to court, a Stalking Protection Order was imposed – and continues to run alongside a suspended sentence order.
It’s alleged that on 11 October this year, Edwards “searched and viewed the Facebook story” of his victim.
He’s due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Tuesday, 21 October).
