An Environmental Protection Unit based in Reading was called to Swindon tonight, after a 999 call about liquid leaking from the back of an articulated lorry in Swindon.
Three fire engines from Swindon responded to the emergency call from a concerned member of the public reporting that liquid was flowing from the vehicle on Croft Road at around 8pm.
Firefighters identified the liquid as rainwater, and the Environmental Protection Unit was stood down.
The driver of the vehicle was located and confirmed that it didn’t contain a hazardous substance.
