A driver narrowly escaped injury after a tree fell on his car near Cirencester.
The ‘near-death experience’ happened on the A435 in Rendcomb at around 2.30pm today (Monday 24 October).
A red car appears to have been struck by a falling tree. The vehicle’s thought to have passed under it, stopping a short distance down the road.
The driver, a middle-aged man, escaped injury in the smash – his car, however, sustained significant damage.
The road north of Cirencester, between North Cerney and Rendcomb, was closed for around two hours.
