A driver lost control of their car and crashed into a ditch this morning (Sunday).
Emergency services were called to a road in Ashton Keynes, North Wiltshire, following a report about a vehicle leaving the road.
On arrival, firefighters from Swindon found a blue car in a ditch. The occupants were uninjured and helped to safety by a member of the public.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said the incident “highlights how treacherous the roads are today”.
Wiltshire Police is also asking residents to “take care” if they are venturing out in the snow.
“Due to the weather conditions, please take care if you’re going out this morning”, a spokesperson said.
Adding: “We are already handling multiple calls and reports relating to the cold and the snow. If you are going out please drive carefully and allow extra time for your journey.”
