A man fled the scene of a road traffic collision in Calne just before New Years Day, leaving his female passenger injured and trapped inside the vehicle.
Emergency services were called to small overturned car in Sand Pit Road at around 11pm on Tuesday.
Despite the passenger, a 22-year-old woman, suffering neck injuries in the crash, the driver immediately ran from the scene.
Members of the public went in search of the driver before police arrived, but were unable to locate him.
A dozen police officers descended on the quiet residential street and began a manhunt. It is currently unknown whether the suspect is still outstanding.
