A suspected drink driver has been arrested after a crash last night (Tuesday, 3 October).
Police were called to reports of a collision on the M4 near Leigh Delamere shortly before 9pm.
The driver was seen to leave the vehicle on foot and the police helicopter was tasked.
Searches located a suspect in field near Cromhall Lane, Yatton Keynell.
The man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving; he is currently in custody at Gablecross for further questioning.
