There are major disruptions to train journeys in Wiltshire after a person was hit by a train.
Emergency services were called to the scene between Reading and London Paddington at around 4.30pm.
The incident will cause delays and cancellations to services through Swindon and Chippenham for several hours.
The Great Western Railway website states: “Due to a person hit by a train between London Paddington and Reading all lines are blocked.
“Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”
The condition of the casualty involved has not yet been confirmed.
