A dispersal order has been granted after a disorder in Warminster Town Park.

Police were called to reports of a fight involving a group of youths at the park, off Weymouth Street, this afternoon (21 February).

The dispersal order will run from 15.30pm today (21 February) to 15.29pm on Wednesday 23 February.

A force spokesperson said: “Due to reports received this afternoon (Monday 21st February 2022) from members of the public of a disorder in Warminster Town Park, a Section 35 Dispersal Order has been put in place due to an increase in anti social behaviour caused by a small group of youths in Warminster Town Park.

“Warminster Police would like to thank members of the public for contacting us and we would hope this order will go some way in addressing the behaviour of those involved.

“A dispersal order is a piece of legislation that Police can issue in circumstances where named person(s) or a group can be prevented from attending for a certain period of time normally up to 48 hours. The order has a map detailing the area(s) that they are not to enter.

“Please report any anti social behaviour either via 101 or online, all matters will be looked into, your calls help us to identify areas of concern within our community.”
