Wiltshire Police has launched a probe after two bodies were discovered in a house in Bulford.

Emergency responders rushed to the address on Salisbury Road shortly before 7.30pm yesterday (Monday 3 April) following a report that a member of the public had found two people deceased.

On arrival, paramedics pronounced a woman, aged in her 80s, and a man, aged in his 50s, dead.

Detectives are probing the deaths, but believe the circumstances to be non-suspicious.

Local residents told of how there was a significant police presence, including forensics, in attendance overnight and this morning (Tuesday).

In a statement, the force said: “We attended an address in Salisbury Road, Bulford, yesterday evening (03/04) in support of our South Western Ambulance Service colleagues following the discovery of two bodies inside a property.

“We were contacted by the service at around 7.25pm after the bodies of a woman in her 80s and a man in his 50s were found by a member of the public.

“Detectives are investigating the circumstances, however their deaths are currently being treated as non-suspicious.

“A cordon was put in place to allow enquiries to take place and has since been lifted.”
