Detectives are investigating a report of a ‘serious assault’ in Chippenham.
A large police presence was spotted at an address in Marshfield Road and Audley Road, near Snap Fitness, over the weekend and on Monday (11 July).
At one stage, an officer was seen holding a clipboard while another – thought to be a crime scene investigator – entered a property wearing a white protective suit.
Wiltshire Police confirmed it is probing a report of an assault, which occurred over the weekend.
“Detectives are carrying out enquiries, so local people may have noticed a police presence but we do not want them to be alarmed”, a force spokesperson said.
No arrests have yet been made – and the investigation is ongoing.
