Crossbow arrow fired through fence in Royal Wootton Bassett

A crossbow arrow has been fired through a fence in Royal Wootton Bassett.

It’s believed to have taken place in the Maple Drive area between 9pm on Saturday and and 6am this morning (Sunday).

On social media, occupant of the property – who has children – said: “I woke up this morning to find a cross bow arrow had gone through my fence!”

They added: “If you are responsible or know someone with this type of weapon please stop!

“I have children and even if I didn’t this is dangerous!”

The incident has been reported to Wiltshire Police.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, should contact the force by calling 101 and quoting log 330 of today, 30 June.
