A crime scene is in place this morning as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigate after a wall collapsed on a man at a building site in Seend.

Two air ambulance teams were called to the incident behind the Post Office in High Street at around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon following a report of a builder having been seriously hurt.

The critical care medics from Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance treated a man in his 20s for chest injuries. He was taken to Southmead Hospital.

“HSE is aware and are making initial enquiries”, a spokesperson for the body confirmed.
