A serious-injured crash near Salisbury is causing traffic delays for motorists this evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A388 in the Nunton area at around 5pm (Sunday, 6 November).
The main route is blocked between Downton Road and the junction for New Hall Hospital — with the road likely to remain closed until early tomorrow morning.
Wiltshire Police has confirmed that at least one person has been seriously injured in the smash.
A force spokesperson said: “Please be advised that the southbound carriageway of the A338, south of Salisbury – near New Hall Hospital – is currently closed following a serious road traffic collision.
“The route is likely to be closed for some hours and drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
“Thank you for your patience.”
