A road traffic collision has closed the M4 in Swindon this afternoon (Wednesday).
Police were called to the crash between junctions 15 and 16 westbound at around 4.15pm.
A black Audi span out of control during a heavy downpour of rain – but luckily, only one vehicle was involved in the incident and nobody was hurt.
On investigation, roads policing officers found that two of four tyres were “virtually slick”.
“A little more car care please”, a force spokesperson said.
The motorway is likely to reopen shortly, once vehicle recovery has taken place.
