UPDATE: Chippenham crash: Two in hospital as van ‘ploughs head-on into car’
A crash involving a car and a van has closed a Chippenham route both ways.
Emergecncy services were called to the A4 London Road at around 5.15pm today (Friday).
Two vehicles were involved in a crash and both left the road into undergrowth.
The drivers of both vehicles – a car and a van – are being treated by paramedics.
A fire engine from Chippenham, several police vehicles and two ambulances are ina attendance alongside an operations officer (senior paramedic).
The main road is closed between Pewsham and Derry Hill, and is likely to remain closed until later this evneing.
