A road in the Cotswold Water Park is closed as police investigate a serious crash.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed near the scene for its medics on board to provide critical care to a seriously injured cyclist in Broadway Lane at around 10am this morning.
The serious road traffic collision involved a red bicycle and a silver Vauxhall Corsa.
Collision investigation work by Gloucestershire Constabulary is underway at the scene, with the road expected to remain closed until around 5pm.
A force spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist on Broadway Lane, South Cerney shortly after 10am today (3 August).
“One person has been treated at the scene by the ambulance service and is believed to have sustained serious injuries. They have been taken to John Radcliffe Hospital by air ambulance.”
