A woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving in central Swindon last night.
Police officers were on patrol in the Broadgreen area following a serious assault just over an hour earlier when they spotted someone driving erratically at around 9.20pm.
Patrols were stepped up in the area after a man was injured with a weapon – possibly a knife – at Swindon bus station on Manchester Road.
Officers pulled over the black Mercedes in Ponting Street and a woman, thought to be in her 50s, was arrested suspicion of drink driving.
She was taken to Gablecross police station but was later released under investigation.
