A 23-year-old man’s been charged with drink driving after a van crash in Colerne.
Police were called to the collision in Bath Road at around 9pm on Sunday following a report that a white van had left the road and entered a small ditch at the roadside.
Officers arrived at the scene to find the driver and passenger had fled the vehicle on foot.
An investigation was launched; witness statements were taken and enquiries were conducted. As a result, the registered keeper of the van was arrested and charged with driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit.
