Two men have been arrested in Corsham after officers uncovered cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia during an intelligence-led operation.
Local neighbourhood officers stopped a vehicle travelling into Chippenham yesterday, finding a large quantity of drugs and cash inside.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and money laundering.
Following that arrest, a second vehicle was stopped in Corsham and a 27-year-old man was detained on the same suspicions.
A search of an address in Westwells Road, Corsham, led to the seizure of more drugs, cash and paraphernalia. Both men have been bailed while enquiries continue.
PC Golledge, from Chippenham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:
“This was excellent intelligence-led policing which resulted in two people being arrested and cash and drugs seized. We rely on the public to report any suspicious activity that they see, which we then act upon.”
Anyone with information about drug activity can contact Wiltshire Police online or via their local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
