Detectives have launched an investigation after a serious assault in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to an address in Hilmarton Avenue in Penhill at around 7.15am this morning (Christmas Eve).
Police and the ambulance service were in attendance, with a man – aged in his 30s – taken to hospital with facial wounds sustained in an altercation.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said that officers “attended the location where the initial report was received – a property in Hilmarton Avenue, Penhill.”
Adding that detectives are “currently conducting enquiries to establish where the incident has taken place”.
It’s believed the incident happened between 4.30am and 6am.
The force has asked witnesses, or anyone with information, to call 101 quoting log 38 of today.
