A Chippenham woman has died after falling off a cliff in Cornwall on Wednesday.
Emergency services were sent to the scene in Perranporth following a call about the welfare of a woman reported to be near the cliffs in the early hours of 5 September.
During negotiations, the woman, named locally as Kat Applegate, fell into the sea. She was located by the coastguard and taken to hospital where she was later confirmed deceased.
The mother-of-three, in her 30s, grew up in Chippenham and previously worked at Wavin Plastics.
“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner”, a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said.
