A Chippenham woman has been charged with sexually abusing a young girl.
43-year-old Jassey Snooks faces nine allegations of child sex offences and appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday (7 February).
The defendant, of Wood Lane, is accused of having penetrative and non-penetrative sexual activity with a teenage girl – aged under 16 – on six occasions between 2008 and 2010.
Snooks would have been in her mid-20s when the alleged offending took place.
The further three charges relate to inciting the girl to engage in sexual activity and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
The case was sent to Salisbury Crown Court, with a plea and trial preparation hearing set to take place on 12 March.
Snooks was released on bail – with a condition not to contact the alleged victim directly or indirectly.
Alleged victims of sexual crimes have the right to lifelong anonymity. It is an imprisonable criminal offence to share any piece of information that could lead to their identification.
