A Chippenham woman is back behind bars after shoplifting from B&M.
Shannon Graham was arrested after visiting the retail store in Swindon twice on 20 July this year – stealing wine, batteries and electrical goods.
The 38-year-old, of Oaklands, pleaded guilty to theft to the value of £271.70 when she appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 8 September.
Graham was jailed for 18 months back in 2020, after causing a police officer actual bodily harm when they visited her home in Chippenham.
Taking into account a long list of previous offending, District Judge Kirsty Allman said that only a custodial sentence could be justified in the circumstances.
The defendant was jailed for four weeks. She was ordered to pay £154 in compensation.
