A man from Chippenham has admitted damaging numerous items belonging to his girlfriend.

24-year-old Benjamin Berkley pleaded guilty to criminal damage when he appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 18 May.

In an incident on 16 September 2022, the defendant damaged a patio, a jacuzzi, a door, a mirror and various other pieces of furniture owned by his then-girlfriend.

The magistrates ordered a pre-sentence report and adjourned the case until 17 July, when Berkley, of Gascelyn Place, will be sentenced for his crime.

Kate Prince appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. Moses Christob appeared for the defence.
