A casualty has been rushed to hospital after an incident at a school in Chippenham.
The ambulance service were called to Charter Primary School, in Wood Lane, shortly before 9am this morning (Wednesday).
Great Western Air Ambulance Charity was deployed to assist local ambulance crews on scene – with the helicopter landing in Bolts Croft at around 10.20am.

A South Western Ambulance Service spokesperson told Wiltshire 999s that two double-crewed ambulances and an air ambulance were sent.
Adding that one patient was conveyed to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment.
It’s not known if the medical emergency involved a child or adult, however, the school appeared to continue as normal with little to no disruption.

A spokesperson for Great Western Air Ambulance Charity said: “Our crew were tasked to an incident in Chippenham at 8.49am earlier today (October 15, 2025).
“They responded by helicopter with a critical care doctor, trainee critical care doctor and a specialist paramedic on board.
“They treated a patient on scene, before ground escorting them to hospital in a road ambulance for further treatment.”
Charter Primary School has not commented on the incident.
