Firefighters removed the roof of a car on a countryside road in Wiltshire.

Emergency services attended a road traffic collision in Lower Everleigh, south of Pewsey, at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon (Friday, 10 June).

On arrival, the casualty was medically trapped within the car and was extricated by two fire crews from Pewsey and Ludgershall.

The Fiat 500’s roof was removed to allow the safe removal of the injured person, who was swiftly handed over to South Western Ambulance Service paramedics.

They are not believed to have suffered any significant injuries in the incident.

The road was closed for around two hours whilst 000 crews worked at the scene and the vehicles were recovered.
