A casualty has been airlifted to hospital after a serious crash on the A30 in Wiltshire.
Emergency services were called to Brook Hill near Ludwell, close to Shaftesbury over the Dorset border, at around 4pm this afternoon (Monday).
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was tasked – with critical care medics treating and then airlifting one casualty to Southampton General Hospital.
Wiltshire Police say the route will remain closed for some time.
Further details have not yet been released by the force.
A spokesperson said: “Please be aware that we are at the scene of a serious collision on the A30 Brook Hill, just east of Ludwell near Shaftesbury.
“The road is closed in both directions and is likely to remain so for several hours. Please find alternate routes.”
