Two London men have been arrested on the M4 in Wiltshire today.
Police officers from the Dedicated Crime Team arrested the two men in a a blue Volkswagen Golf; it was stopped shortly before midday on the Wiltshire and Berkshire border.
Several thousands of pounds worth of cash was discovered, as well as two large knives.
One man, aged 19, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, money laundering and possession of a bladed item.
A second man, aged 20, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
They remain in custody at Gablecross at this time.
Sergeant Georgina Green of the Dedicated Crime Team said: “This is a really great example of proactive policing – officers had concerns about this vehicle and as a result, it was stopped on the M4 as it was being driven through Wiltshire in the direction of London.
“Officers have recovered two knives and thousands of pounds in cash. It is believed that this cash was obtained through criminal activity.”
