A car has smashed through the front of a doctors surgery in a Wiltshire village.
Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision at Avon Valley Practice in Fairfield, Upavon, on Wednesday afternoon (25 March).
Despite the dramatic smash, nobody sustained any injuries – including the driver of the vehicle. The building was inspected structurally and deemed safe.
A spokesperson for the surgery said: “An unexpected incident occurred when a car accidentally drove into the front of the surgery building.
“We wish to reassure all patients that the individual involved was assessed and, thankfully, was not injured. The building has been inspected and is safe to use.
“The surgery remains open as usual; however, there is some disruption to access while repair works are underway.”
Patients are being advised to access the building via the side entrance while urgent work is carried out to fix the damaged building.
