The A419 was shut this morning (Saturday) following a road traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash on the southbound carriageway in Swindon at around 7am.
A red Renault – believed to be a Clio – left the road and overturned onto its roof near Blunsdon, close to the Kingsdown Road bridge.
The two occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries, which police say aren’t significant.
It’s thought that at least one person was taken to hospital for treatment.
At the height of the incident, more than six police vehicles, two fire engines and several ambulance vehicles were in attendance.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “We responded to reports of a road traffic collision involving a single vehicle on the A419, near Blunsdon just after 7am this morning (Saturday).
“Two people suffered injuries not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
“No arrests have been made.”
The road was closed for around one hour, but a lane was reopened as recovery work was undertaken. The carriageway was clear by 9am.
