A cannabis factory has been discovered in the middle of Swindon town centre.
The large grow is located within a building on Regent Street and was being guarded by police this morning (Tuesday 6 September).
Earlier, two crime scene investigation vans and two police cars were parked near the property, accessing it from the rear in Edgeware Road.
The building affected is situated next door to Poundworld Plus.
Forensic work and searches are due to be carried out at the scene today, ahead of the removal of the factory set-up.
Specialist officers, who are trained to dismantle cannabis factories, from Avon and Somerset Police are understood to have been tasked with clearing the site.
Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
