Two brothers have been jailed after they were caught with drugs following a police pursuit through Swindon which led them to a farmhouse in Cricklade.

Throughout the lengthy investigation, officers seized a total of £20,000 in cash and £14,000 worth of drugs, mainly cannabis.

Analysis of phone work also proved that both Jahred and Isaiah were conspiring together in the supply of Class B drugs in the Swindon area.

On Monday (4 October), both brothers appeared at Salisbury Crown Court for sentencing.

Jahred Tafari, 22, currently of HMP Bullingdon, was jailed for 21 months for conspiracy to supply Class B drugs.

Isaiah Tafari, 20, also currently of HMP Bullingdon, was jailed for 19 months for conspiracy to supply Class B drugs and money laundering

DC Phil Nash, from Swindon CID, said: “This was a lengthy and complex investigation which pulled together a number of enquiries being carried out into the supply of illegal drugs in Swindon.

“A small team was assembled who worked tirelessly to compile evidence proving that the Tafari brothers were working together to make large amounts of money through the sale of cannabis in the town.

“We know that our communities In Swindon have concerns about the sale of illegal drugs, and the associated exploitation and violence that often comes hand in hand with this type of criminal activity, and I hope this shows that we are taking proactive action to tackle it.”
