A man has died after collapsing at a sports centre in Calne yesterday evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Beversbrook Sports Centre at around 8pm, where paramedics were witnessed giving CPR to an unconscious man.
A short time later the 40-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three ambulances, a rapid response car, an air ambulance critical care car and two police cars attended the incident on the grounds of the sports facility, where football was taking place.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called at 8.17pm last night (17 October 2018) to Beversbrook Sports Centre, in Calne, to a medical incident.
“Paramedics were also in attendance, but sadly a 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances and our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.”
