A boy riding bicycle has sustained serious injuries in a crash in Swindon.
The 13-year-old was knocked down by a car in Homington Avenue, Badbury Park, shortly after 5pm on Wednesday (28 May).
According to an eyewitness, the teen – “whose view was obstructed by a bus” – rode into the road, where he was struck by a Toyota Yaris.
They claimed: “The driver of the car was NOT to blame at all, as a matter of fact, it was his slow driving that the boy avoided significant harm.”
Two double-crewed ambulance attended the scene alongside police – treating the boy for serious leg injuries.
He was taken to hospital for further care.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the driver of the car stopped and no arrests were made.
