A boy has sustained puncture wounds in a dog attack in Wiltshire.
Police are investigating the incident, which happened in Amesbury on 3 March.
Officers are working to trace the owner of the dog – which was off lead at the time.
A 12-year-old boy was playing in the Hancock Drive area, when the animal ran up to him and sank its teeth into the child’s leg.
The youngster sustained several puncture wounds as a result, police confirmed.
Wiltshire Police is appealing for information relating to the attack – including witnesses.
