A boy is in critical condition in hospital after a serious crash in Andover.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian in New Street at around 6pm on Saturday (21 December).
A 15-year-old boy was struck by a silver Ford Fiesta, sustaining life-threatening injuries.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance attended the scene, later flying to Southampton General Hospital – where the boy remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle, a 29-year old local woman, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs. She has been released under investigation.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police said: “We have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for any information that may assist our investigation.
