A teenage boy has been arrested after a ‘fake bomb’ was left outside a court building.
Bomb disposal experts carried out a controlled explosion on the suspicious item, which was found attached to the outside of Salisbury Law Courts on 3 August.
Wiltshire Police launched an investigation into the incident, and have since made an arrest.
The 17-year-old boy, from Salisbury, has been arrested on suspicion of placing an item with the intent to induce belief it may explode or ignite.
He has also been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in relation to graffiti on the outside of the building – which read: “Justis not”.
The teen has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
