An unexploded bomb has been found at a sports facility in Calne.
Construction works are said to have discovered the incendiary device while working on site at Beversbrook Sports Facility on Beversbrook Lane earlier today.
Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team were called the scene.
A spokesperson for Calne Town Council commented: “Scare over! It was a training 8.5 training round that was dropped by planes in WW2. There was a tiny explosive in the bomb, but that would have detonated when it hit the ground.
“Beversbrook is now open as usual, along with the dog walking area.”
