The bomb squad rushed to a bakery in Amesbury after a possible explosive was discovered.

Police are in attendance at Reeve the Baker in Salisbury Street, after being called earlier today (Thursday).

It’s understood a wall – which belongs to The New Inn – collapsed at the rear of the bakery. As builders worked to clear the rubble, they discovered a concerning item.

The army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team are on scene and dealing with the suspected explosive device.
